Amazing Tree Houses In Africa

Wood tree houses are rarely timeless, built as they are into the ever-changing natural environment and often constructed natural materials such as woods that surround them. The plan is often to make them play places more than permanent homes. Some are created as novelty buildings for rent to the public (such as hotels, inns and other vacation properties) while others are intended to be lofted restaurants, temporary homes or forts for children.

A shack in the sky is somehow so much more compelling than the same run-down little lodge structure sitting on the ground below, but it also more susceptible to the elements through its exposure. These beautiful-but-shoddy tree houses had to be abandoned as the pictures above show. Though simple, they are still stunning structures in their way.

Lodges, inns, hotels, resorts and other tree house rental properties are often the expected subjects of long-term use and are thus planned and built not only with a tree for support but with other structural frameworks and a sturdy foundation as well to account for change over time. Trees cut down in the process of securing material for a tree home can also open up amazing views to residents of the finished product.

World's Best Talking Parrot - Video

Hi! I'm Einstein. I am a 13 year old Congo African Grey Parrot. I live with Marcia and Jeff in a place called Texas! They are really nice people and take really good care of me. They think I am a girl parrot. (They don't really know unless a DNA test is performed.) Oh well, I like the name, so I don't care.

Einstein appeared on many television shows and became famous for her ability to recreate sounds as well as voice. Video clips show her making the sound of a laser beam and an evil laugh. She has been trained by Stephanie White.

Barbara Heidenreich, professional animal trainer, teaches the steps to train parrots to talk. She talks about the myths associated with talking parrots and also discusses which birds are candidates for talking. She explains the best ways to expose parrots to sounds you want them to repeat, methods for encouraging your parrot to talk, and teaching them to talk on cue.

World's Most Amazing Bridge

The Atlantic Ocean Road is a 8.3-kilometre (5.2 mi) long part of County Road 64 which stretches an archipelago in Eide and Averøy in Møre og Romsdal, Norway. Located at the northern part of the coastal area of Hustadvika, it connects the villages of Kårvåg on Averøy with Vevang in Eide on the Romsdal peninsula on the mainland. The road is one alternative connecting the towns of Kristiansund and Molde, via the Atlantic Ocean Tunnel. The inland connection between those two cities is the Krifast bridge/tunnel system.

Construction work on the Atlantic Ocean Road started on 1 August 1983, with the opening taking place on 7 July 1989. During this period there were no less than 12 hurricane-like storms in the area. The road is built on several small islands and skerries, and is spanned by eight bridges and several landfills/viaducts.

This road has an open sea view which is not so common for roads along the Norwegian coast, since there are archipelagos that obscures this view. Here the distance between the islands is so small that a road could be built across the archipelago. In addition there are fjords and mountains inside the road. The spectacular road quickly became a popular tourist attraction to the extent that caution must be shown when driving it, as both the local population and visitors frequently use the road to go fishing for cod and other saltwater fish directly from the roadside.

Unusual Natural Phenomeno

On June 18, 2008 Mike Hollingshead from "Extreme Instability" documented the advent of the weirdest storm: giant waves of rolling thick fog, cresting over the landscape….Similar weather phenomenon, according to witnesses, happened in England (Penzance, Cornwall) – perfectly defined, very slow moving wall of the densest fog ever seen. Here is another bank of thick rolling fog – this time at Rock Mills Rd. in Rappahannock County, Virginia:
